The Pink Chair

Greetings:

When going from the Pentagonal Room across the bridge and to the
Temple Room, you pass another room on the left-hand side that contains
a Pink Chair with this wierd spider-like metal cage around it. Does
that chair do anything? There is a lever and a button, but nothing
happens. What did I miss?

Look at the screen in the temple room and then head back to the
room with the chair. When sitting in the chair, look up at the device
pointed at you. Remind you of anything?

It might become a bit clearer a little later on in the game when you come
back there from another place.

PS. Not sure if you wanted a hint or a straight out answer. I tried
to go for the 'middle ground.' It's not really a puzzle, but it does
give you a little "aha" of satisfaction when you work it for yourself a
little later.

Aha! I got it. When I returned from Jungle Island the image appeared.
I had seen the image before, but I didn't realize the connection.

Yes, the chair itself is mostly story-line... although the room contains
important objects.

Yes – but it is not necessary for playing the game. It explains Ghen's
occurence in the big hall downstairs.

I remember now, but I still never knew what it did. hummed a bit when i
pressed the button or somethin right?
