The Game Freezes at the Last Scene.

My computer freezes in the last scene after the telescope has fallen
into the hole and the large knife begins to fall into the newly opened
chasm. The rest of the game has worked just fine. Any ideas?

Not too sure why that'd happen. Perhaps it's a scratch or something
on the CD? Try wiping it clean if there's anything on it, and if not try
installing all the cds onto your hard drive and playing it that way.

How do you install the CD's to the drive? I just started playing Riven
again (after 4 or 5 years away from it) and have heard that this can be done
and thought "What a great idea!" but I haven't come across any instructions
on how to do this.

I think you just copy the data folders from all of your riven CDs into your riven folder
